Cancer impacts me both personally (I had cancer in my 20s) and professionally (I run the Hospital Education Liaison Program - HELP- at Kennedy Krieger Institute to support educational planning for kids with cancer).  

I completed my first Swim Across America open water swim one year before my own cancer diagnosis and then a second swim after being declared cancer free.  I continuing to coming back to Swim Across America to support everyone touched by cancer so that we can work toward improving outcomes.
