Queens Tri Against Cancer
One of my favorite things about Queens triathlon is that I am surround by not only the best teammates to train beside, but lifelong friends and coaches who are like family. So naturally, none of us wanted to believe it when we discovered that one of our newest teammates, Keeghan Hurely, had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy. I can clearly remember when I first met Keeghan on the pool deck because I never could have never guessed what he had so recently been through; his energetic, kind-hearted, and enthusiastic personality is infectious. Keeghan battled and survived cancer with courage and optimism like no other and is now cancer free and back to doing incredible things in triathlon and life.
Keeghans inspiring journey is one that is close to the Queens Triathlon families hearts and motivated us to dedicate our February training miles to him through "Queens Tri Against Cancer."
