Join Swim Across America - Houston to Make Waves to Fight Cancer. Everyone's life has been impacted by cancer which is why we're swimming to raise money for cancer research, prevention and treatment.

ABOUT THE EVENT

WHAT: SAA - Houston is raising funds to support research at MD Anderson Cancer Center to fight glioblastoma. Everyone that joins will have fun, learn about open water swimming, meet our local Olympian Camille Adams, and help “Make Cancer History”.

We will have mixed relays, open water swim simulation, games, Masters workout and/or distance swimming.

WHEN: May 5, 2024 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

HOW TO JOIN: Click the register button in the middle of this page and get your own fundraising page to send out to your friends and family. Under 18 swimmers pay a $25 registration fee and over 18 swimmers will pay a $50 registration fee. The registration fee is 100% tax deductible.

All swimmers and volunteers must complete the waiver found here and bring to the event check-in. If you are under 18, please bring the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

FUNDRAISING: We encourage swimmers to each raise at least $100. Many will raise more but if everyone raises $100, our swim could raise thousands to support cancer research, prevention and treatment.

FUNDRAISING INCENTIVES: Every swimmer who participates will receive a Swim Across America cap, tattoos, and t-shirt! Raise the amounts below and receive great SAA items for your efforts!

  • $100 - SAA Towel
  • $1,000 - If you raise $1,000 you are acknowledged as a WaveMaker and receive WaveMaker benefits.

Individual WaveMaker Status: $1,000 fundraising minimum:

WaveMakers go above and beyond by raising at least $1,000 for SAA. Anyone can achieve WaveMaker status - swimmers, volunteers or SAA My Way participants. WaveMakers get special recognition and an exclusive WaveMaker gift. You can learn more about WaveMaker Status here.
