Here I am after swimming a 2-mile open water swim!
It's hard to believe that this is the tenth year, that I'll be swimming for Swim Across America to raise money to fund cancer research, prevention and treatment. With each year that passes, it seems like cancer has touched more friends and loved ones and I become even more determined to help make a difference.
On July 28, I will be swimming to honor my dear friends Sandra Fontana, and Joe Arena. With each lap, I will also be thinking of my amazing Uncle Tom. I'll be doing my swim at my hometown pool -- Chappaqua Swim Club Pool. I am very proud that our Swim Across America events over the last few years have raised over $200K.
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. What a devastating statistic. It's my deepest hope that by joining the Swim Across America community, I am making a difference.
Please consider supporting me by sponsoring my swim and making a gift. Every little bit really helps! The money you donate will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure.
You can make a credit card donation here, or send a check directly to the swimmer you are supporting, or to Swim Across America, P.O. Box 217, Larchmont, NY 10538. Thank you so much for your generosity!
