Join us for the 15th annual Lynbrook Pool Swim as they swim to Fight Cancer with Swim Across America. Swim Across America raises funds to help find a cure for cancer. The Lynbrook Pool Swim is a part of the Nassau / Suffolk Chapter of Swim Across America. Since their inception in 2001, the Nassau / Suffolk Chapter of Swim Across America has raised over $12,000,000 to cancer research, prevention and treatment.

ABOUT THE EVENT

WHAT: This summer, the Lynbrook Pool will be holding its 15th Swim Across America event! This years event will be an evening swim! Proceeds raised help fund cancer research at local hospitals and cancer centers.

WHEN: Friday, July 26th
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

WHERE: Lynbrook Pool

HOW TO JOIN: Click the register button on this page and get your own fundraising page to send out to your friends and family.

All swimmers and volunteers must complete the waiver found here and bring to the event check-in. If you are under 18, please bring the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

FUNDRAISING: We encourage swimmers to each raise at least $100. Many will raise more but if everyone raises $100, our swim could raise thousands to support cancer research, prevention and treatment.

Encouraged fundraising minimums are:

  • Child (Under 18) - $100
  • Adult (18 or Over) - $250

All swimmers will receive:

  • SAA T-Shirt and Swim Cap
  • If greater than $250 Raised - an SAA Towel

WaveMaker Swimmer: $1,000 minimum:

WaveMakers are elite SAA fundraisers and go above and beyond the call of duty by raising at least $1,000 regardless of your age. WaveMakers will receive an exclusive WaveMaker gift!

Swim as an Individual, or on a Team:

A person may elect to swim alone, or be part of a team. Many work colleagues and college alumni will form teams to join forces in the fight against cancer. We have many teams formed by friends and family in honor or memory of a loved one. All teams are inspirational and rewarding for all of us involved with Swim Across America.

We welcome all Teams of ANY Size. 2 people and up!

  • If a team raises $2500 or more, then the team will get formal recognition in Nassau/Suffolk Long Island Journal and at the event.
  • If a team raises $5000 or more, then the team will also receive a Full page Team Recognition in the Nassau/Suffolk Long Island Journal, and a Plaque at the Swim Event.
