WHAT: Join us for the 14th Annual MMP Swim 4 a Cure! Fight Cancer with Swim Across America!
Everyone's life has been affected by cancer which is why we are "Making Waves to Fight Cancer " and raising money for cancer research, treatment, and prevention. Over the years swimmers have embraced this cause with gusto, and swam their hearts out for 2 1/2 hours. This year, we welcome swimmers big and small, young and old to Metuchen Municipal Pool (MMP) for Swim Across America to raise money for a cure. Pool membership not required to participate in swim!
WHEN: July 14, 2024
Check in begins at 7:30 AM
Swimming will kick off at 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM
WHERE: Metuchen Municipal Pool
50 Lake Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08840
SWIM OPTIONS: ½ mile, 1 mile, or 2 miles to raise money for your team. Make your own distance goal and share it with your supporters!
HOW TO JOIN: Click the register button in the middle of this page and get your own fundraising page to send out to your friends and family. Sign up as an individual, create a team, or join a team by clicking on the corresponding button.
All swimmers and volunteers must complete the waiver found here and bring to the event check-in. If you are under 18, please bring the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
FUNDRAISING: We encourage swimmers to each raise at least $100. Many will raise more but if everyone raises $100, our swim could raise thousands to support mission of SAA.
FUNDRAISING INCENTIVES: Every swimmer who participates will receive a Swim Across America cap and tattoos! Raise the amounts below and receive great SAA items for your efforts!

- $50 - SAA T-Shirt.
- $100 - SAA Sunglasses + $50 fundraising incentive.
- $300 - SAA Towel + $100 fundraising incentives.
- $1,000 - If you raise $1,000 you are acknowledged as a WaveMaker and receive WaveMaker benefits.
Individual WaveMaker Status: $1,000 minimum:
WaveMakers go above and beyond by raising at least $1,000 regardless of your age. Anyone can achieve WaveMaker status - swimmers, volunteers or SAA My Way participants. WaveMakers get special recognition and an exclusive WaveMaker gift. You can learn more about WaveMaker Status here.
