Join us and Fight Cancer with Swim Across America. Everyone's life has been impacted by cancer which is why we're swimming to help "Make Waves to Fight Cancer" and raise money for cancer research, prevention and treatment.
Proceeds from the swim will support cancer research and patient care at our two local beneficiaries: UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco Survivors of Childhood Cancer Program.
WHAT: Welcome to Swim Across America at the Olympic Club! We are thrilled to invite you to our pool swim event, where you can enjoy a rare treat by swimming at the prestigious Olympic Club. We aim to bring together a community of passionate swimmers who share our vision of making waves to fight cancer.
By participating in this event, you'll have the chance to swim in an incredible setting and make a tangible impact in the fight against cancer. All funds raised will stay in our community, supporting Bay Area Pediatric cancer research and treatment.
We are excited to announce that the top fundraiser for this event will win an entry into the 2024 Trans Tahoe Swim, held every year in July. This event sells out quickly, and we are honored to offer this prize to our top fundraiser.
We are creating this event because we believe that everyone has the power to make a difference. Swim Across America brings together a community of passionate swimmers who share a common goal - to make waves in the fight against cancer. Together, we can achieve great things.
So, join us at the Olympic Club and take the plunge to fight cancer! We can't wait to see you in the water.
WHEN: October 14, 2023, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
WHERE: Olympic Club, 524 Post Street, San Francisco, CA 94102
HOW TO JOIN: This charity event is open to all! Join us for an open water relay swim. Create a team of six swimmers for 30 minutes each, or less swimmers and longer times if that is your pleasure. Click the register button in the middle of this page and get your own fundraising page to send out to your friends and family.
All swimmers and volunteers must complete the waiver found here and bring to the event check-in. If you are under 18, please bring the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
FUNDRAISING: We encourage swimmers to each raise at least $100. Many will raise more but if everyone raises $100, our swim could raise thousands to support cancer research, prevention and treatment.
FUNDRAISING INCENTIVES: Every swimmer who participates will receive a Swim Across America cap and tattoos! Raise the amounts below and receive great SAA items for your efforts!
Individual WaveMaker Status: $1,000 minimum:
WaveMakers go above and beyond by raising at least $1,000 regardless of your age. Anyone can achieve WaveMaker status - swimmers, volunteers or SAA My Way participants. WaveMakers get special recognition and an exclusive WaveMaker gift. You can learn more about WaveMaker Status here.
