Join the Swim Across America ‘Coast to Coast’ Virtual Challenge - an online experience, tracking activity and fundraising, where participants work together to travel across America with a collective mission to support cancer research.

WHAT:The Coast to Coast Challenge is a virtual activity tracking and fundraising challenge where participants will work together with your team to travel across America with a mission to support cancer research. Participants can choose their own activity and goals that will help move their team across America. The Coast to Coast Virtual Challenge begins in Nantucket, the site of one of the oldest SAA swims, visits all 21 Swim Across America open water event locations ending at our newest open water location, Los Angeles! To complete the whole journey, your team will need to log 7,686 miles together.
This event encourages any activity: walk, bike, run, swim, kayak or any activity of your choice that can be completed safely in your local community.
HOW: Just two easy steps:
1. Register under your Team name. We ask that you make a small $25 personal donation to participate. All participants will receive a commemorative 2020 SAA T-Shirt at the conclusion of the challenge.
2. Personally challenge yourself and your teammates to get out there and swim, kayak, walk, run, bike, golf, play tennis—any activity you want. Share your activity mile or hour total each week with your team captain. Team captains will use the 'Enter Activity' button above to submit total weekly team miles once each week. Check back each Monday when we update Team mileage and donation leaderboards to see how far your team has traveled across America together!

To Join the Coast to Coast Challenge, select 'Join Team' to register as a member of your team. You will work together with the rest of your team to accrue miles. There is a small personal DONATION of $25 to get you started, and while we will encourage you to fundraise, there is NO Fundraising Minimum to participate.
Note, Online Fundraising Pages on the SAA website are still available, and you can still use Facebook and other Social Media platforms to solicit additional donations.
All 2020 Challenge registrants will receive the 2020 commemorative shirt as a thank you for their support and commitment to Swim Across America. This shirt features the slogan "The Mission Doesn't Stop" on the front - a reference to 34 years and counting of impact we've had 'Making Waves To Fight Cancer' with all the SAA cities on back. The tri-blend shirt comes in blue to recognize our frontline heroes in hospitals and research centers in this unprecedented year.
