The Gators are Making Waves to Fight Cancer with Swim Across America. Everyone's life has been impacted by cancer which is why we're swimming to help "Make Waves to Fight Cancer" and raise money for cancer research, prevention and treatment.

  • SAA Denver funds benefit four research projects at the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children's Hospital Colorado. The acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) research project, led by Drs. Amanda Winters, Taizo Nakano, and Craig Forester. The tumor research project, led by Dr. Adam Green. The sepsis biomarker project, led by Dr. Leonora Slatnick. And, new this year, the CAR-T Cell project, led by Dr. Lindsey Murphy and collaborating with Dr. Winters and members of the BMT-Cellular Therapeutics team.

EVENT INFO
ABOUT THE EVENT

WHAT: Our team works to focus on character development, as well as athletics. This is an opportunity for us to serve others through our sport. In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. We joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. All funds raised will benefit cancer research & clinical trials at Children's Hopsital Colorado.

The challenge: Swimmers will do as many laps as they are able to complete in one hour!

WHERE: Governor's Ranch Pool 9050 W Prentice Ave Littleton, CO 80123

WHEN: June 25, 2024
7:00 AM - 10:00 AM

HOW TO JOIN: Click the register button in the middle of this page and get your own fundraising page to send out to your friends and family.

All swimmers and volunteers must complete the waiver found here and bring to the event check-in. If you are under 18, please bring the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

FUNDRAISING: We encourage swimmers to each raise at least $100. Many will raise more but if everyone raises $100, our swim could raise thousands to support cancer research, prevention and treatment.

FUNDRAISING INCENTIVES: Every swimmer who participates will receive a Swim Across America cap and tattoos! Raise the amounts below and receive great SAA items for your efforts!

  • $50 - SAA Luggage Bag Tag
  • $100 - SAA t-shirt and SAA sunglasses (plus $50 incentive award)
  • Top 3 fundraisers for each age group category will receive a Cold Stone Creamery gift card (minimum of $250 to qualify)
  • $1,000 - If you raise $1,000 you are acknowledged as a WaveMaker and receive WaveMaker benefits.
