Beginner's Program
For the seventh year in a row, Swim Across America - Baltimore
and Michael Phelps Swimming are offering a free
16 week training program to get swimmers in shape and ready to swim 1 or 3
miles, in the pool or in open water, all to raise money to fight cancer on September 17/18 in Baltimore.
Here are the details:
- There will be two Informational Meeting sessions at Meadowbrook Aquatic Club on the following dates. Join us and sign up!
- Tuesday, May 10th at 6:00 p.m.
- Monday, May 16th at 6:00 p.m.
- Program offers one free lesson per week with
workouts for swimmers to do on their own or in between classes.
- Program lessons are Monday or Tuesday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Swimmers choose their
preferred practice time at the Informational Meeting.
- Program begins May 23rd (Mondays) or May 24th (Tuesdays) and runs for 16 weeks until the week prior to SAA - Baltimore.
- Non-members of Meadowbrook who wish to practice
at the pool can purchase a Swim Across America Card for $65, allowing them 16 visits/swims.
- Program is first come, first serve with 20 students max in each class.
