All proceeds will benefit the Swim Across America Innovative Clinical Trials Center (ICTC) at Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center. The ICTC offers patients better access to a wide range of new research and treatment options, and expands the already extensive program of cancer clinical trials offered at Baylor Sammons Cancer Center. "The ICTC simplifies the process for patients participating in a clinical trial by providing one location for clinical examinations, infusions, sample collection for lab work and follow-up" says Carlos Becerra, MD, medical director of the ICTC and an oncologist on the medical staff at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. "The ICTC is dedicated to providing access to treatment only available in a few centers around the world."

Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center at Dallas is a 467,000 sq. ft. facility, the largest outpatient cancer center in North Texas. Baylor Sammons Cancer Center offers more than 100 clinical trials and mroe than 15 disease-specific support groups, educational groups and programs, making it one of the most comprehensive programs in the country.

Dr. Miller and Dr. Becerra talk about what the funds from the inaugural Dallas swim will be going towards at the Innovative Clinical Trials Lab at Baylor.
