Peter Wright

Peter Wright was a member of the 1996 US Olympic team competing in the 1500m freestyle.  He started his swimming career in New Jersey with the Jersey Wahoos swim club.  He then moved on to the University of Virginia studying Systems Engineering.  Along the way, he earned 4 national swimming titles in the 400m, 800m (x2), and 1500m.  He also had the honor of receiving the 1992 summer nationals Robert J.H. Kiphuth High Point Award and the 1995 University of Virginia WINA Award for the outstanding male athlete.

Peter now lives in Smyrna, GA with his wife, Amy, and his two children, Nate (9) and Kayla (7).  Most of his free time is now spent watching his children compete in basketball, soccer, gymnastics and, of course, swimming.  He works in the field of information security and IT services for Porsche Cars North America.
